The secret final boss? Nah, the game just has three different endings, which will become obvious that two of them stem from a major decision in the third stratum. The 'true' ending is done by answering a few questions correctly, and is a little involved. I shan't tell you, as I'll leave you the joy of figuring it out yourself.

You have the true end, then the postgame, which is the sixth labyrinth which is five levels, instead of just four, and of course, the dragon troika...speaking of which, I should go try to kill that volt dragon. Problem is, I can't find it...

You threw out the Hoplite? I guess they kind of are overkill early on. Of course you'll one around for the dragon troika, unless you're playing to Taten Battou them with Ninjas or something...you might not survive long enough to do that, however...

Since you have a gladiator, an arbalist, and a zodiac, you're probably dealing enough damage. I have to figure out which one of my other characters also needs the Princess subclass, 'cause now I don't have enough points on my Hoplite. >_<

It's a pretty cool image, if I do say so myself. I'll leave it up, though this story may never be finished!

Well, the last post on this was a few months ago. Why not?

I have slain the volt dragon! Hooray. I tried going after the fire dragon a few times, with no success. At least my level cap's at eighty rather than seventy. I was getting close to level seventy...I've been exploring the first floor of the sixth stratum, but the layout is confusing and I have yet to get to the next floor. Yeah, I suck.

I need to finish all those sea quests, though. I remember fighting some later boss with only two of my regular characters, and three sucky CPU-controlled players and that was just not working. With my whole, regular party, I could have easily killed the boss. I am rather proud of my party, because I had built it on my own and it amazingly seems to work pretty well. I tried using a Zodiac/Ninja instead of a Ninja/Zodiac, but yeah, I was so busy Dark Ethering the party that I could never get off any Meteors. Since EOIII only has one save file, I sometimes wish I could start over from the beginning just to have the fun of playing through it again. I've put way too much work into the save file I have now to justify that, though.

I heard that there was an EO coming for the 3DS at some point. Any more news on this front?

It's a pretty cool image, if I do say so myself. I'll leave it up, though this story may never be finished!

Started playing 3 for real. I'm just starting, this is gonna be epic.
Just did the quest of fish extermination... and scored 102 kills hahaha. Now gotta prepare for Narmer.

Current party is pretty much the same as before, except I replaced Zodiac with Wildling. Just love poison moths, they help lots against early FOEs. *0*

I don't know much about EO for the 3ds, except that its supposed to be a sure thing.

    Interesting indeed

Also, I fought Namor over a swamp and got my ass handed to me.
EDIT: WTF I meant Narmer. Marvel, please don't sue me. @_@
    EDIT2: It's a sad day...
    ยป Spoilers Show/Hide
    Hypatia, noooo!!!111 *sniff*

EDIT3: Aaand now Ketos wiped the floor with me. However, I gave it a good fight (got its HP bar into the red zone) considering I was somewhat unprepared. Training an anticold hoplite.
    EDIT4: I can't believe how 2 farmers/princes can be so helpful for mapping/surviving.
EDIT5: First clear, yay. Anemone raped me later though.

Oh God, NO! Muckdile is back! (actually, I'd love to have it as a pet).

In the end the super dragons cook once the fighting began, I did not kill them, I can not complete the last class.
After knowing these types of Vintage leather satchel bags for men, you may know which type is the most appropriate bag for you. If you are going to purchase a Leather double handle briefcase and it is important to search for some information of the bag.

To survive the dragons it is mandatory to have the antifire/anticold/antivolt skills, but only up to the level that nullifies the attack (lv5 in EO1 and 2, maxed in EO3, dunno in 4). If you go past the nullifying level you will recover HP with those attacks, but YOU WILL receive their status ailments as well, which includes instant death for Drake. In EO3 there are other skills you can use for this as well.

By the way, I'm replaying Etrian Odyssey II from scratch... but I'm playing solo... with a medic...

Etrian Odyssey IV coming out next month in the U.S. I am so happy that I could explode in happiness!

I haven't seen any really good tables on the classes up yet. I want to plan my party now!

It's a pretty cool image, if I do say so myself. I'll leave it up, though this story may never be finished!

Well, Landsknecht and Medic are back, and they're my favorite classes from the first two games. Btw, my solo medic run got stuck in the battle against guild Esbat. I'll have to do several loop levelups to reach a high level.

    Well, it's been a while.

EO4 was released weeks ago, and it seems to be doing pretty well over here. Now a remake of the first Etrian Odyssey for the 3DS has been announced. "Etrian Odyssey: Millenium Girl" will retell the story of the first game, but with a stronger focus on story. Thus, each party member is going to be "unique". We'll probably have a character for each class, but only one per class. Aaaand I think the main character is going to be a gunner girl.

BTW, Medigirl's solo adventure on EO2 continues. I'm carefully mapping the Petal Bridge, and also the new areas from the lower strata now that I just found the Tree Key.

I introduced Etrian Odyssey IV to a friend, and he really likes it. (He incidentally chose to play on classic mode, so he's getting the true EO experience, right down to losing everything except the maps he drew when he gets killed. Hee.)

I got to the fourth land, but sadly, I reset my levels too many times trying to get through the third, and now I have to spend a few hours level grinding my party. I think my party's doing pretty well, although there was that stupid quest to get those darn cufflinks back for the mayor, and the monster at the end beat the daylights out of me.

I will be looking forward to that remake of EOI though. Thanks for the head's up, Kojiro_S!

It's a pretty cool image, if I do say so myself. I'll leave it up, though this story may never be finished!

    Nice, EO needs moar love.
And about Millenium Girl, it also has a "classic" mode which is pretty much the original EO with the improved engine (which means it's actually 2 games in one).
