From the Greek for "Barbarian". I nearly called him "Balbaroy", but that's the name of a Shining Force character (though it's probably written the same way in Japanese). The original ending cast list calls him "Barbaroy". You'll note that the name is eight letters long either way, so there's really no excuse for "Barubary" save for illiteracy.

Yeah, I know. He's going to be in the Bosses list (together with Augus, Trout, Habaruku, etc.)

Well, I toyed with the idea for a while, but decided against it at the end. I'm not so sure it is the intention, though they do have some coincidental meanings...

Sanamo doesn't seem to have any, except maybe the persian name "Sanam" which means "Lover".

Spoon as you said. Note her name is written Supuuna ( スプーナ )whereas "Spoon" is written "Supuun" ( スプーン ).
Solo as in...Solo sex?
Seiny = "Sei" kanji means "Birth" ( 生 ), and "Nii" kanji means "New" ( 新 )
Shin is one of the lectures for the kanji "Pregnant" ( 娠 ).
