    If I ever try and take it up I better just go with water color and paper, it'd be rather idiotic of me to buy expensive oil paints and the likes and canvas to figure out I suck at that too and quit I imagine my 'paintings' would look more like little kid's art XD

    Been better, honestly. But I started drawing again. That...makes me incredibly happy.

    I was also stocking up online for art supplies. I was going to order a filing cabinet for storing my pictures because I draw on the first floor, because every time my parents have people over, I have to move it. And because there's no 'one' place to keep everything, my pictures get crumpled, smeared, or worse, ripped. So, hence, a filing cabinet. But my dad put his foot down on having anymore furniture in the house.

    He suggested buying a different kind of folder for storing stuff at a local art store. Well, at least I don't have to shell out fifty bucks to buy a cabinet now... ^_^;

    It's a pretty cool image, if I do say so myself. I'll leave it up, though this story may never be finished!

    I'm not so sure about a filing cabinet. I wind up just buying more and more of those empty sketch books that I fill up. Once it's filled, it goes on the shelf for future viewing. Maybe that's just me, though.

    But if you are going to keep your work in storage like that, be careful how they go in. Perhaps creating a portfolio would be a good project for you. Find your largest piece of work, measure it out.

    If it's small enough to keep in a binder, buy some sheet protectors. If it's too large, you may need to create your own.

    Here is what you can do if that's the case:

    Materials: Several sheets of Clear Vinyl (measured at least two inches wider and longer than your largest piece of art); Two sheets of thick fabric (Canvas-like material may be best. One must be measured out at least two inches wider and longer than the Vinyl and the other leaving enough room for a flap.), either a sewing machine or a needle, heavy-duty thread (or embroidery thread if you're going to use a needle), and either a large button, a buckle and strap, or some other device to close with.

    The plan is simple: layer the vinyl together and stitch them together around all but one long edge. This should leave an open edge like this: |__|

    After that, you layer the fabric on both sides of the vinyl. At this point, it should look like a giant open envelope. Follow the same stitches you made earlier. As for the flap, you can either leave it as is, sew a button and make a slit in the flap, or attach the buckle and strap, or whatever else you have chosen to close your portfolio with.
    Now... why am I suggesting vinyl instead of making the entire thing out of cloth? Simply to help protect the art. If you have cloth rubbing up against, say... pencil drawings, then the graphite is going to wear down whenever you move the portfolio or so much as extract/insert your artwork. The vinyl doesn't have as much friction and is therefore useful for this project.

    ...on the other hand, if gathering the materials proves to be more expensive than a filing cabinet, you can always compare the prices to your father.

    You should post up some of your art! Hoping you've got some BoF2 stuff.

    No one's posted in here in months. Actually I don't think I've ever posted here, for whatever reason.

    Hi guys. How is everyone?
