I have just released a game soundtrack!

I'd love to hear some reviews! I suppose I'd call the style a mix of Chrono Cross and Suikoden with a touch of Wild ARMs. It's definitely RPG-styled, anyway. I will say that Yoshino Aoki (the composer of BoF4 and co-composer of BoF3) is one of my biggest influences.

Very nice soundtrack. It's been forever since I've scored a game (well, except for the one I'm making). It's fun, but it's a lot of work as well considering the cues aren't restricted in time-length as they are with film.

Wow, great soundtrack. Sounds very fitting for an RPG. ^^

Indeed it is a lot of work, although I actually prefer not having a time-length restriction--it's when I feel most comfortable! However, with Horse Isle 2, I was restricted quite a bit--I was only supposed to hit a minute 30 at the maximum (it was preferred I stick to around a minute). I found this very challenging.

However, my most recent game score was less restrictive, and I was free to write up to 2 minutes or so. 2 to 2.5 minutes is just about the right length for RPG BGM, in my opinion. It's just right for my compositions, too.

    They're all wonderful!!

What equipment did you use to make them, and which of those instruments/devices would you recommend? (I use Propellerhead Reason 4.0)
