D&D Next/5e's Draconic Sorcerer seems to be Ryu inspired
Currently Dungeons and Dragons, the original TTRPG and the (great)grandparent of pretty much every videogame RPG, is in the midst of development/public playtest for its next edition. One of the character classes recently released for testing was the Sorcerer. The Sorcerer is a magic using class that draws power from the magic that permeates their very being. The first "Origin" for this magic power provided in the playtest document was a "Draconic Heritage." The write up for this origin turned the class into a heavily armed and armored mage-knight who gradually turns into a dragon as his powers are used. One of the first characters this brought to mind was Ryu, and I'm pretty happy about that.

It's Dragon Me Down
Perhaps this is something that can be worked into a character concept when D&D v.5 comes out!
I smell myself getting into tabletop gaming again ASAP for that.

Whelp
Well that description sounds rather similar to the sorcerer class in Pathfinder.
On another note I have finished designing my Breath of Fire home brew system for dungeons and dragons 3.5 and started my campaign. I've been meaning to put more info on here about it, but haven't gotten around to it. I've made 14 different Breath of Fire inspired races and my friend is almost done designing the ultimate world map which has locations from games 1-4. Anyone interested in it?
