Warsong aka Langrisser

Does anyone else here know about this game? There was more than one, but I'm not sure if it was enough to be called a series. Anyway, its a really good strategy rpg where you had control of a set number of commanders, and could buy infantry, horsemen, and all sorts of of other units to control. It was originally for Sega Genesis. It didn't see much light in the US, but what light it did see, it was called Warsong. Langrisser was a better name though in my opinion. The second one for Genesis was also released on the SNES with more features, and a slightly different storyline, and was called Der Langrisser. If you can get your hands on this game, I advise it. Its really good. Lots of fun.

I've heard of the Langrisser series before, but mainly because the company that made those games went on to make the Growlanser strategy games. (Got Growlanser Generations a while ago. I love it to death)

I've been meaning to try out Warsong for a while, just to see what it's like.

Actually, I have the second one translated. Its pretty hard to find. Uhm...I had to get the emulator/rom thing though. But even without the translation, I loved the game. Its a lot of fun to play.

Anyway, like I already said, if you haven't given it a try, you should. Its a pretty good game. I personally liked it better than Shining Force. I played those, and, though they were good, they weren't my favorite.
