Hironobu Takeshita: BoF is not dead!
In an interview with Takeshita, producer of BoF, he stated that BoF isnt dead, it's just resting, there are no plans for now, but there will definitely be a new Breath of Fire game in the future due to the demand for it, but they're going to take their time and make it a really special one

Like everyone else, I'm excited about it! How will it be? Like BoF5: DQ? Completely new story and battle system? Zomg!
I just hope it doesn't come out on the PS3, those things are expensive... T_T

Yeah, in Capcom forums thereīs a cool guy always asking for a new Bof, and Sven (a guy from Capcom) says that "is resting", "we never close the doors", "i canīt tell you"... but well, that guy must be tired of asking and asking without AN ANSWER!!...

That forum is there to pretend Capcom gives a crap about players. They never intended to answer any questions - in fact Capcom USA probably isn't informed of the answers any more than the rest of us.
